The court in St. Petersburg registered three administrative cases about “LGBT propaganda” among minors against the Okko online cinema. This was reported by the joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg.

The reason for drawing up protocols was 16 films, among them – “Bridget Jones: Edges of Reason”, “Black Swan”, “The English Barber”, “The Perfection of Easy Behavior”, “A Little Pregnant” and others.

Sessions of the court on administrative cases have not yet been scheduled.

Earlier, under the same article, online cinemas Premier and “Tricolor Cinema and TV” were fined 4 million and 1.2 million rubles, respectively.

  • Since December 2022, the dissemination of positive information about homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism has been prohibited in Russia. According to the law signed by President Vladimir Putin, fines of up to 400,000 rubles for citizens and up to four million rubles for organizations are provided for this.
  • After that, Roskomnadzor added more than 200 sites to the register of prohibited information, many bookstores removed from sale products in which non-traditional sexual relations can be found.
  • The law was sharply criticized by human rights and LGBT+ organizations, which noted that it increases stigmatization and discriminates against the LGBT+ community.
