Businessman Sergey Tygypko confirmed that he plans to invest in the monobank project in Poland — stereo by mono, but he is not yet an official participant. He told Forbes about this.

“TAS” is not yet officially an investor in the project
Answering the question why Tygypko “TAS” group is not yet an official investor of stereo by mono in Poland, the businessman noted that “TAS” sees great potential in the development of the Polish project and is ready to invest in its development in the future “if all the permits are obtained from the regulators “.
“The decision to enter the project requires a certain formalization, now we are at the stage of negotiations. The process of drawing up our agreements with partners will take some time, so we will be able to announce our participation only after all positions have been agreed and the necessary legal documents have been signed,” Tygypko explained.
According to him, the monobank partners initially did not plan to enter other markets.
“There were general conversations about the possibility of further progress and, as a consequence, an increase in the cost of the project, but all this was considered for the future, nothing more. Specific directions — countries or the size of investments — were not discussed,” the businessman noted.

The partners are counting on the knowledge of the banking services of monobank from the Ukrainians forced to leave due to the Russian invasion, the businessman added. Taking into account this task, the search for “your client” becomes somewhat easier, he says.
“More than 5 million of our citizens, who were forced to leave for Poland because of the war, is the most important argument (in favor of expansion, ed.). The approach is simple: there is a demand for our banking services, there are many potential clients in Poland – you need to respond quickly and satisfy this demand. I always support ideas that allow us to move forward,” explained the businessman.
Cooperation with the bank
Tygypko does not exclude the option of further cooperation with a bank licensed in Poland.
“If the puzzle of our partnership works, then on the part of the TAS group, the investor and partner will not be Universal Bank, but one of our holding companies,” Tygypko said.
He also noted that much will depend on the positions and decisions of the main regulators — the National Bank of Ukraine, the Financial Supervisory Commission of the Republic of Poland (KNF) and the National Bank of Poland (Narodowy Bank Polski).
Another international project
Tyhypko emphasized that “TAS” will continue to focus on Ukrainian business, but announced one more international project – in wagon construction. He did not specify what exactly he was talking about.
