There is no deficit in the energy system, the needs of consumers are fully met – in the morning and partly in the afternoon, Ukraine exports electricity, while it also imports it in the afternoon.
This is reported by the operator Ukrenergo, Ministry of Energy.
Electricity is exported to Poland at night, in the morning and partly during the day. During the day, imports from Slovakia continue. In the evening, there is no import or export.
On Sunday, Ukraine exported electricity to Moldova (340 MWh), and commercial imports from Slovakia and Moldova amounted to 6.2 thousand MWh.
The Russian Federation will continue shelling the border and front-line territories. The regional energy network is damaged, in particular in Kharkiv Oblast, Donetsk Oblast, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, as well as Sumy Oblast and Kherson Oblast. Energy workers are restoring networks where the security situation allows. There were no new damages in the trunk networks.
Currently, more than 20,000 consumers in the Sumy and Donetsk regions have been left without electricity due to shelling. In Donetsk region, 35 settlements were cut off, and 13,200 consumers were left without electricity. Also, 7,700 subscribers were disconnected due to shelling in the Sumy region.
A repair campaign is ongoing at all energy facilities damaged during Russian attacks on the energy system. The extent and complexity of the damage caused requires significant resources and time. Water harvesting is also being completed, which will soon affect the reduction of electricity production at hydroelectric power stations.
Therefore, Ukrenergo urges to distribute the use of electricity during the day and to transfer the use of powerful devices from the evening peak hours to other periods of the day.
