Ukrainian media with reference to intelligence: Krasovsky could have been poisoned

Anton Krasovsky, the former head of the Russian-language directorate of the state-run Russian TV channel RT, was hospitalized. Sources in the Ukrainian intelligence service claim that he was poisoned.

On Monday, Kyiv Post and Ukrainskaya Pravda independently reported on the possible poisoning of Krasovsky. Both of them refer to intelligence sources. “A bad man did bad things, and at Christmas it became bad for him,” Ukrainskaya Pravda quotes, in particular, the words of his interlocutor. At the same time, the sources do not say directly who could be behind the alleged poisoning of Krasovsky and what kind of substance he could have been poisoned with.

In the Telegram channel of Krasovsky himself the day before – after a break in publications for a few days – his photo and an entry in his name were published. It says: “At the beginning of the week, my stomach suddenly twisted, I started to feel nauseous, then I lost consciousness. They took me to the clinic. I’m gradually coming to my senses.”

The Kyiv Post source claims that Krasovsky’s health condition continues to deteriorate, and probably he did not make the last post on the network himself. There is no independent evidence of this, as well as the fact that Krasovsky was poisoned.

Anton Krasovsky is a former NTV journalist, the head of Mikhail Prokhorov’s campaign staff, and also participated in a number of media projects. As head of RT Russia, Krasovsky actively supported the invasion of Ukraine. In October 2022, he was removed from his post — the editor-in-chief of RT, Margarita Simonyan, said that she stopped working with him after he said on the air of his program “Antonymy” that in the past it was necessary to “drown” and “burn” Ukrainians children Krasovsky himself apologized for his words, but did not renounce his harsh anti-Ukrainian rhetoric. He launched the “Conservator” project, which supports the war. A court in Ukraine sentenced Krasovsky in absentia to five years of imprisonment under the articles of public calls for the overthrow of the government in Ukraine and genocide.
