“Ukrenergo”, together with the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Finance, signed two agreements with the World Bank (IBRD) on the allocation of grant aid to the company.

This was reported on Facebook Chairman of the board of “Ukrenergo” Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.

According to him, according to the first agreement, grant funds from the German government will be directed to the purchase and installation of special devices that increase the stable operation of the Ukrainian power system – STATCOM.

“Another document specifies the transfer of aid to Ukrenergo for the purchase of special equipment, autotransformers and other high-voltage equipment that was damaged by Russian missiles and drones,” Kudrytskyi explained.

“Together with our partners, we are preparing our facilities for the next heating season and are doing everything possible for sustainable energy supply of the country. Ukrenergo also fulfills an important technical condition of ENTSO-E to strengthen our connection with the European grid.

STATCOM devices will make it possible not only to increase the stability of the Ukrainian energy system, but also have a positive effect on the balance of the entire united European continental network,” he added.
