National postal operator “Ukrposhta” began to open automatic sorting terminals.

About this reported general director of the company Ihor Smilyanskyi.

He said that the first of them appeared in December 2023 on the right bank of Kyiv.

“We are switching to fully automated sorting by opening the Kyiv Right terminal, capable of processing 400,000 parcels per day. Five parcels per second,” he said.

Previously, parcels at “Ukrposhta” were manually sorted by senior employees.

Smilyanskyi announced that “Ukrposhta” plans to soon open Kyiv Livy, Lviv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi and Odesa terminals. And by the end of the year, another 14-16 terminals should appear in the largest cities in the free part of Ukraine.

“Before the war, we planned to build seven automated terminals with credit funds. Now we are launching more than 20 such terminals with our own funds,” Smilyanskyi said.

The head of the operator emphasized that the company’s goal is next-day delivery to any city in Ukraine.

“It’s not tomorrow yet, but the acceleration of the terms will be noticeable very soon,” he announced.

We remind you:

“Ukrposhta” in 2023 grew up the number of shipments by 40%, brought 63.6 million units of humanitarian aid, and in cooperation with “Ukrzaliznytsia” transported 15 million parcels.
