During the winter holidays, “Ukrzaliznytsia” appoints a retro train on the “Christmas Express” locomotive, which will run in Lviv and Kyiv.

Christmas express trains in Kyiv and Lviv will run on December 23, 24, 30 and 31.
In Kyiv, steam trains will depart twice a day: at 10:27 a.m. and at 12:40 p.m. In Lviv – three times a day: at 10:05 a.m., at 1:00 p.m. and at 3:20 p.m.
UZ advises to come to the station at least 30 minutes before departure to take memorable photos and take part in the festive program.
“Passengers will be met by a professional photographer on the platform who will take free photos next to the historic steam locomotive, and an entertainment program for children, goodies and gifts will await in the carriages,” the message reads.
In the event of an air alert, Ukrzaliznytsia trains will continue to run on schedule, as usual, but children’s activities will be moved from the platforms to carriages and shelters.
Tickets can be purchased in the application and chatbots of Ukrzaliznytsia: for Kyiv: on request Kyiv-Passenger – Kyiv-Kazkovy; for Lviv: upon request Lviv – Lviv – Kazkovy.
It is added that 30% of the seats are allocated for free trips for the children of dead railway workers, children of military personnel and other social categories.
