Updated rules for receiving assistance for HPV: who is eligible for payments

Starting today, the rules for receiving cash assistance for internally displaced persons are updated. Dmitry Lubynets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, wrote about this in the Telegram channel.

“IDPs who are already receiving cash assistance do not need to apply to the social protection authorities or centers for the provision of administrative services to update their data for receiving a monthly cash allowance for living, as such payments will be automatically extended. It is about 3 thousand hryvnias for children and persons with disabilities and 2 thousand hryvnias for adults,” he wrote.
Who is entitled to payments
Citizens, including IDPs, have the right to receive payments:
- who have uninhabitable or destroyed housing and submitted an application for compensation of the corresponding losses by May 20, 2022, in particular through the “Diya” portal;
- having documentary confirmation from local self-government bodies of the fact of damage or destruction of immovable property due to hostilities, terrorist acts, sabotage caused by the aggression of the Russian Federation;
- those who left the settlements included in the List of Territories on which (large) hostilities are conducted or temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation (the list of relevant territories);
- internally displaced persons receiving monthly address assistance to cover living expenses as of February 24, 2022;
- who have moved from temporarily occupied territories or territories where hostilities are conducted after February 24, 2022.
