The higher anti-corruption court arrested an investor suspected of bribing the leadership of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine for 2 months.

According to NABU and SAP, the suspect tried to bribe the Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov. Allegedly, he offered more than 5,200 square meters of real estate in new capital buildings erected by his companies at an estimated cost of UAH 170 million.

The article incriminating the detainee provides up to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The court appointed an alternative to detention in the form of bail in the amount of 100 million hryvnias, the prosecutor asked for a bail of 199.9 million hryvnias.

Anti-Corruption Center indicates that Serhiy Kopistira, who is the actual owner of the “KSM-GROUP” group of companies, was taken into custody

In the event of bail, Kopistira must comply with certain obligations, including refraining from communicating with witnesses and the other suspect in the case, surrendering foreign passports and wearing an electronic bracelet.

On November 21, under the procedural guidance of SAP prosecutors, NABU detectives informed the director of a state-owned enterprise and the actual owner of a private developer company of the suspicion of an attempt to bribe the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction – the Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov.

The state-owned enterprise, which is under the management of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, and a private developer concluded a number of contracts for the purpose of building residential buildings on a plot of land owned by the state. The suspects wanted to bribe the deputy prime minister for not terminating these agreements.
