Veterans will be able to get a grant for their own business: what is needed for this

From April 10, combatants can receive grants of UAH 250,000 – UAH 1 million to start or develop their own business.

Yes, the new programs envisage the provision of grants in the amount of:

• UAH 250,000: for a participant in hostilities and/or a person with a disability as a result of the war, provided that one workplace is created;
• UAH 500,000: for the wife/husband of a combatant and/or person with a disability as a result of the war, provided that two jobs are created;
• UAH 1 million: for a participant in hostilities and/or a person with a disability as a result of the war, who has been registered as a self-employed person for more than 3 years, on the condition that four jobs are created, at least 2 of which will be occupied by veterans or persons with a disability as a result of the war.

It is noted that grants of UAH 500,000 and UAH 1 million will be provided under the condition of co-financing with the recipient: 30% of the funds are invested by the grant recipient, 70% of the funds are added by the state in the form of a grant.

Grant funds can be used for the purchase of equipment, raw materials, materials, lease of premises and vehicles for business, as well as the purchase of licensed software, payment for marketing and advertising services.

To receive a grant, a veteran or a spouse of a veteran must apply through Action portal along with the business plan of your project. After checking the credit history of the applicant, his documents and assessment of the business plan, he must pass an interview with specialists of the State Employment Service. Based on the results of the interview, a decision is made to grant or refuse the grant.

In addition, the Ministry of Economy says, grant recipients will be able to undergo free entrepreneurship training and receive consultations at regional employment centers.
