Yevgeny Prigozhin remains under investigation in the sedition case

As of the morning of June 26, the criminal case for organizing a riot against the head of PMC “Wagner” Evgeny Prigozhin has not been closed and continues to be investigated by the investigator of the investigative department of the FSB of Russia. This is reported by Kommersant.

RIA Novosti and TASS sources in the Prosecutor General’s Office also report that the criminal case against Prigozhin has not been closed.

Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov announced on the evening of June 24 that the criminal case against Prigozhin would be closed. On what basis, he did not specify. Prigozhin himself, in his own words, “will go to Belarus.”

Officially, the General Prosecutor’s Office did not announce that the case was closed. According to the interlocutor of the publication, the investigation into the circumstances of the riot is ongoing, too little time has passed to make a different decision.

• By the evening of June 24, it became known about the negotiations between Prigozhin and Alexander Lukashenko. As a result of these consultations, the advance of the “Wagner” columns towards Moscow was stopped. Prigozhin declared that his soldiers “are going in the opposite direction to the field camps according to the plan.”
• It is unknown where Prigozhin is. There was no reliable information about his whereabouts since Saturday evening. Then a video was posted on the network in which the founder of PMC “Wagner” was leaving Rostov-on-Don by car.
