“You have to say goodbye to people in a human way”: Hetmantsev about his gratitude to Igor Abramovich

The Chairman of the Tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Danylo Hetmantsev, explained what he was for thanked to the former deputy of “OPZZH”, who signed the mandate at the beginning of February.

This is what he said in an interview with Economic Truth.

“What you say – why did he go (Ihor Abramovich was in Monaco during the war – EP), why was he in the party – is a question for Abramovich. I gave a description of professional abilities.

I noted that many reforms, which we carried out through the committee, would not have taken place if it had not been there,” the deputy emphasized.

“I didn’t see pro-Russian rhetoric there, I didn’t see it at all. But there was rhetoric about reforming the country and supporting what we are doing.” And the anti-offshore law would not have happened without it, and the reforms we made regarding the capital market, and even the “anti-Kolomoi” law,” he noted.

“That’s why I’m really grateful to him for what he did for the country. Evaluate as you want, but objectively: I think it’s necessary to say goodbye to people in a humane way,” Hetmantsev added.

He did not explain what the connection might be between Igor Abramovich and the former acting head of state. the head of the Department of Economic Protection of the National Police Serhiy Vyazmikin, whom UP journalists showed together on a walk in video reports “Monaco Battalion”.

Hetmantsev also questioned Vyazmikin’s possible influence on the work of the excise department.

“Well, conspiracy theory is our national sport. I know Yarmolenko (head of the Excise Department – EP) from my past life. I talked to him even before he was offered the position…

All this conspiracy, all these systems that are being built – someone is controlling something, someone is doing something – it seems to me that this does not correspond to reality at all,” he said.

According to the EP, the current director of the Excise Goods Control Department Oleksandr Yarmolenko and Serhiy Vyazmikin worked together at the same time in the Department of Economic Protection of the National Police.

For reference:

On February 6, the Verkhovna Rada supported the early termination of the powers of People’s Deputy from the banned OPZZH party Igor Abramovich.

In 2019, Abramovich was elected a People’s Deputy of the 9th convocation from the “Opposition Platform – For Life” party (number 14 on the party’s list) and was a member of the faction of the same name in the Verkhovna Rada.

According to the Chesno movement, from February 24 to June 1, 2022, the people’s deputy missed all meetings of the Council for which there is data.
