Activist Nadine Geisler, who is in the Belgorod pre-trial detention center, was given 30 liters of water by unknown persons in order to exhaust the monthly limit of transfers. Now Geisler’s parents cannot give their daughter the necessary products and personal hygiene items.

On February 2, the Sverdlovsk District Court of Belgorod arrested and sent to pretrial detention the founder of the volunteer organization “Army of Beauties”, which helps Ukrainian refugees, Nadine Geisler (real name – Nadezhda Rossynskaya).

Heisler was accused of publicly calling for activities directed against the security of the state – allegedly due to the collection of humanitarian aid for the Armed Forces.

Geisler categorically denies guilt. The arrested woman faces up to six years in prison.

  • Nadine Geisler was detained by FSB officers in Belgorod, although it was previously reported that she left Russia in May 2023 due to the threat of criminal prosecution. How the activist ended up in the Russian city is unknown. Geisler’s acquaintances assume that she could have come to Belgorod to help return to Ukraine dogs taken from a kennel in Melitopol, which is under Russian control.
