In Saratov, the court issued a decision on the first case about LGBT symbols

The court of Saratov fined photographer Inna Mosyna one and a half thousand rubles for images with the LGBT flag on social networks under the administrative article on the demonstration of the symbols of an extremist organization. The reason was the photos and video on Instagram with the rainbow flag.
According to local mass media, three posts by Mosyna attracted the attention of investigators. We are talking about a video and a photo in which a girl without hair poses with a rainbow flag, and an image of a man in a space suit with a flag in his hands.
Mosyna pleaded not guilty. According to the photographer, she made these works several years ago, long before the decision of the Supreme Court to recognize LGBT as an extremist movement. She also said that there is no symbolism in the images – colorful objects were added for artistic reasons. Mosyna added that she deleted the posts immediately after the precinct called her.
The “Svobodnye Novosti” publication noted that the policeman who drew up the protocol admitted that he did not know how many colors are on the LGBT flag and in what order they are located.
Mosyna’s lawyer Denis Rudenko stated that he and his client disagree with the court’s decision and will file an appeal.
Rudenko noted that this is the first case in Russia about the demonstration of the LGBT symbol. They began to consider him before the initiation of a similar case against a resident of Nizhny Novgorod, who was arrested for five days for wearing earrings in the form of frogs in rainbow colors. The decorations provoked the discontent of passers-by – presumably supporters of the “Men’s State” movement banned in Russia.
