October is the month of cyber security in the world. Kyivstar has traditionally held activities aimed at drawing society’s attention to issues of cyber protection and responsible behavior in cyberspace.
According to the words Yana Hirchak, head of the Kyivstar fraud prevention departmentit is important that users are aware of possible fraudulent schemes and know how to protect themselves and respond correctly to online threats.
Onand more often, cyber fraudsters use psychological pressure – social engineering – to force people to hand over funds or information, and it is often impossible to return the lost.
Kyivstar conducts regular information campaigns and recommends how to protect yourself from virtual attackers.
For the third year in a row, the company conducts a survey* among subscribers, based on the most important rules of cyber hygiene:

The telecom operator supports #ShakhrayGoodbye – an information campaign of the National Bank of Ukraine and the Cyber Police, the purpose of which is to educate Ukrainians about the safety rules of non-cash and online payments.
