On October 20, Lviv announced the suspension of heating in the city in order to save gas – warming is expected in the region over the weekend.
About this informs Lviv city council.
“According to the weather forecast, we have a significant increase in the temperature of the outside air, so that there is no overheating and irrational use of gas, we are suspending the supply of heating from today,” said Orest Tymchyshyn, director of the housing and infrastructure department of the city council.
According to him, they plan to restore heat supply from next week. Everything will depend on the temperature indicators.
At the same time, the heating season officially started in Lviv on October 16.

Meanwhile, in Kyiv, part of the housing stock has not yet been connected to heat. On October 20, only 6,200 out of 11,511 residential buildings were connected to heat in Kyiv.
As stated on the air of the national telethon, Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko said, “the system needs to speed up.”
They promise to connect the heating in the homes of Kyiv residents by the end of the week.
At the same time, on weekends in Kyiv temperatures up to 20 degrees are also expected.
