In Ukraine, 60% of companies have vacancies that give preference to veterans when closing, but only 25% indicate in their job descriptions that they are open to hiring veterans.

About this it is said in the Work.ua study.

It is noted that Only 10% of employers have information on their willingness to hire veterans in the career section of their official website, and 32% have information on how the company supports the Armed Forces.

In addition, in 36% of companies, management is ready to allocate financial and other resources to organize the employment of veterans, including barrier-free infrastructure, availability of psychological support and changes in corporate culture. Another 49% are ready to do it partially.

“78% of employers do not have training programs for recruiters that disclose basic information about veterans’ military skills and the hierarchy of the Armed Forces to help better understand the military and veteran experience.

Despite the fact that 60% have vacancies in which veterans are given preference, only 25% of companies indicate in their job descriptions that they are open to hiring veterans,” the message reads.

Corresponding results were obtained as a result of summarizing the first results of the project on employment of veterans “Towards”. Only those (1,325) who passed the checklist and are authorized employers on the Work.ua website are listed under “companies” and “employers”.
