83 participants of the anti-Semitic action at the Makhachkala airport were detained in the case of mass riots. The police conducted more than 50 searches, reports the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the North Caucasian Federal District.

On Monday morning, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that 150 rioters had been identified. At that time, 60 people were detained.

As Kavkaz.Realii writes, on Monday the journalist of the Dagestani newspaper “Novoye delo” Idris Yusupov was searched, and he was forbidden to call a lawyer. All equipment was seized from Yusupov and taken for questioning, after which he was released. He is a witness in a case of mass riots.

On the morning of October 31, the head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, announced that the airport’s operations have been fully restored: 24 arrival flights and 28 departure flights are scheduled for today. “Tickets are quickly sold out, it was not possible to scare people with this completely stupid and useless “action”, – wrote Melikov in his Telegram channel.

The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Aleksandr Bastrykin, took the criminal case about mass riots under personal control, the investigation will be transferred to the main investigative department.

Those gathered protested against Israel and demanded the expulsion of Jews from the region. The participants of the anti-Semitic action were initially outside the airport, they checked the departing cars and the passports of the people in them. They demolished the fence and broke into the airport territory, entering every room, shouting anti-Semitic slogans.
• At first, the police did not take measures, they only tried to calm the crowd, saying that they “understand” the state of the people and that the gathered “are not strangers” to them. After the people broke through to the airfield, Russian Guard soldiers entered the airport.
