The security service exposed a Kyiv businessman who transferred more than 50 million rubles to the budget of the Russian Federation last year, and he was declared a suspect.

It is reported SBU press service.

The law enforcement officers gathered evidence against the owner of a Kyiv trading company that imports and sells air-conditioning equipment from East Asia in Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the owner of this enterprise is the founder of two more trading companies in Moscow.

On the eve of the great war, the businessman left for one of the European countries, from where he coordinates his business, including on the territory of the aggressor country.

“It was on the instructions of the businessman that the Russian companies under his control continued their commercial activities after February 24, 2022 and transferred millions of dollars to the budget of the Russian Federation in the form of taxes,” the SBU said.

Thus, during the past year alone, he financed the state treasury of Russia for more than 50 million Russian rubles.

The actual “operational” management of the enterprises was carried out from Kyiv by the financial director of the capital company of the person involved.

On the basis of the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed the owner of the enterprises and his subordinates about the suspicion of aiding the aggressor state, committed by a group of persons based on a prior conspiracy.

Since the businessman himself is outside Ukraine, a set of measures is being taken to bring him to justice. As for the accused’s accomplice, the issue of selecting her as a preventive measure in the form of detention is being resolved.

Both face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

We remind you:

The security service seized the property of Russian colonel-general Valery Kapashin in the Poltava region worth over one billion hryvnias.
