A resident of Koma was accused of justifying terrorism because of posts in telegrams

In Koma, FSB officers took Nikolai Farafonov, a resident of Vuktyl, for questioning. This is reported by Sever.Realii with reference to the coordinator of the “Rosstraf” project Andrey Eremeev. In early September, Farafonov’s apartment was searched due to publications in an anti-war Telegram channel.

“They are to me [ФСБ] today they rushed and took Kolya back to testify. They told me that they will also take a statement from me today, because I know him. I don’t know what will happen to Kolya next,” said a friend of the detainee, Radmyla Ryabtseva.

A criminal case against Farafonov was initiated under the article on the justification of terrorism.

• After the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, Nikolai Farafonov actively wrote anti-war posts in his small Telegram channel. In October 2022, he was fined 30,000 rubles under the administrative article on discrediting the army. The reason was Farafonov’s comment to the news about the fact that on Children’s Day Russian Guard officers came to a children’s hospital and sang songs there. He asked whether the Russian Guards told about how the children in Ukraine suffer and die, to whom the Russian military “brought Russian peace with bayonets.”
