The attack on the building of the consular department of the embassy was made on April 1. Among the dead are one of the key commanders of the Iranian special forces, Al-Quds forces, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zaheda, his deputy, Brigadier General Mohammad Hadi Rahimi, and five of his colleagues. The Ministry of Defense of Syria reported that Israeli planes struck from the Golan Heights.
