The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested one more suspect by May 22 in the case of the attack on the Crocus City Hall concert hall. His name is Muhammad Zoir Sharypzoda. The meeting was held in closed session. Unlike the previous court hearings in the case of the terrorist attack in “Crocus”, the press was not informed about this in advance.

The press service of the court does not clarify what exactly Sharipzoda’s alleged complicity in the terrorist attack consisted of.

Earlier, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, demanded to study the connections of all those detained in the “Crocus” case and to identify all the organizers and customers of the crime by name.

Sharypzoda is the eleventh person arrested in connection with the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall. Earlier, the court arrested 10 people. All of them are from the countries of Central Asia. The investigation considers four of them to be the direct executors of the terrorist attack. The rest, according to law enforcement agencies, participated in the financing of the attackers, gave them money, rented housing or sold cars.

  • On March 22, several people armed with assault rifles broke into a concert hall on the outskirts of Moscow, where a concert by the rock group “Picnik” was scheduled to take place, and opened fire on the gathered spectators. Then they set fire to the hall. A strong fire started, as a result of which the roof of the building collapsed. According to the latest data, 144 people died.
  • The terrorist group “Islamic State” claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack. The USA and other Western countries consider this version the most likely.
  • The Russian authorities believe that Ukraine may be involved in the terrorist attack in the concert hall. Kyiv categorically rejects this.
