Exchange rate on March 8: the hryvnia continues its rapid strengthening on the “black market”

On Wednesday, March 8, the cash hryvnia strengthened rapidly against the euro and continued strengthening against the dollar on the “black market”.
This is stated in the data minfin.com.ua, finance.ua.
At 12:20, the dollar exchange rate on the “black market” was UAH 38.36 – UAH 38.60. On Tuesday, March 7, the exchange rate fluctuated between UAH 38.62 and UAH 38.76.
Regarding the “black” exchange rate of the hryvnia to the euro, at the same time the exchange rate was UAH 40.80 – 41.03. For comparison, on Tuesday, the exchange rate fluctuated at the level of UAH 40.27 – 40.66.
The average currency exchange rates at bank counters were as follows:
- US dollar – 38.4 – 38.9 hryvnias (rate on March 7 – 38.5 – 39.1 hryvnias);
- Euro – 40.3 – 41.1 UAH (rate on March 7 – 40.6 – 41.3 UAH).
In terms of banks, the cash rates are as follows:
- Privatbank – UAH 38.0 – 38.5;
- Oschadbank – UAH 38.45 – UAH 39.45;
- Ukreximbank – UAH 38.35 – UAH 38.95;
- Raiffeisen – 37.9 – 38.8 UAH.
As for non-cash payments, the exchange rate when paying by card in banks in Privatbank is UAH 37.45 per dollar, in Oschada – UAH 37.12, in Universal Bank (monobank) – UAH 37.44.
