A case was opened against transgender activist Kateryna Myers

A transgender woman, Kateryna Myers, who previously worked in the FSB, was detained in Moscow on Wednesday. A criminal case was opened against her because of her request to leave the country at the end of last year. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Ostrozhno, Novosti” and “Rain” with reference to Myers’ friend.
It is confirmed that on the morning of February 22, the police came to Myers’ home with a search, and she was taken to the FSB investigative department. In particular, a diary, books on LGBT topics and a bottle of hormones were seized from Myers’ apartment during the search, reports Sibir.Realii.
It is not reported under which article the case was initiated. Law enforcement agencies have not yet commented on the case.
Myers herself wrote on the Telegram channel on Wednesday evening that she had been released from the FSB and that she was “under subscription”. She did not give other details.

According to her, she was also subjected to insults and discrimination based on gender.
