The Zelenograd District Court of Moscow arrested for five days the first-year student of the MIET and Daniil Voytovych because of the cover of the student card with a white-red-white flag.

A native of the Republic of Belarus was found guilty of publicly displaying prohibited symbols. According to the court’s decision, he showed his student card with the flag on the cover three times – twice at the university and once at the train station when buying a ticket.

According to the police, the white-red-white flag is the symbol of the armed formation “Kastus Kalinovsky Regiment”. In this formation, Belarusians are fighting on the side of Ukraine against Russia.

The court decided to confiscate the cover of the student card.

The court also reviewed the protocol against Voytovych on the administrative article on the so-called discrediting of the Russian army. In this case, the student was fined 35,000 rubles.

At the end of September, according to the court, Voytovych said in one of the university’s auditoriums that the citizens of Russia and the government “are fascists, unlike the citizens of Ukraine” and shouted the slogan “Glory to Ukraine.”

The Telegram channel “Ostrozhno, novosti” writes that administrative cases against Voytovych were opened after the denunciation of Farid Abdullyn, an employee of the university who is responsible for mobilization training.
