A man from Rostov was sentenced to 12 years in prison for treason

The Krasnodar regional court sentenced a resident of the Rostov region to 12 years in a strict regime colony on charges of treason. The last name of the defendant is not mentioned. According to the investigation and the court, he gave information about the location of military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“In March 2023, the defendant, cooperating on a confidential basis with a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, collected and sent him information about the location of an airfield located on the territory of the Krasnodar Territory, as well as about the deployment of military equipment there. The information provided by the defendant could be used against the security of the Russian Federation” , – indicates the judicial press service.
What exactly the defendant disclosed and whether it led to any damage is not disclosed. What evidence of the defendant’s alleged guilt was considered during the investigation is also not specified. Trials in treason cases are held behind closed doors.
As Kavkaz.Realii reports, the Krasnodar Regional Court is preparing to issue sentences in two more cases of treason. Judge Vasyl Loboda examines all of them alone, the names of the defendants are withheld.
