Rinat Akhmetova’s DTEK company launched the 114 MW Tyligul wind power plant in the Mykolayiv region.

She reported about it press service DTEK

Currently, only the first stage has been launched – these are 19 turbines with an installed capacity of 114 MW, which produce up to 390 thousand kWh of electricity per year.

The company says that they have already laid the foundations for the installation of another 64 turbines as part of the second phase of construction of the Tyligul wind farm. It is assumed that after the completion of the works, the capacity of the wind farm will be 500 MW. This will make it the largest wind power plant in Eastern Europe, DTEK added, and will reduce carbon emissions by 400,000 tons annually.

The construction of the second phase will cost 450 million dollars, and the coverage of this amount depends on financing mainly from foreign investors and from international financial institutions supported by states.

We remind you:

The company decided to build the Tyligul wind farm in 2020 as part of the strategy to expand the portfolio of renewable energy sources. The foundation of the wind farm was laid at the end of 2021, but with the beginning of the great war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the construction was stopped.

Earlier it was reported that DTEK is planning in the spring to complete construction of the first phase of the Tyligul wind power plant with a capacity of 114 MW out of the total announced of 500 MW.
