A political prisoner from Buryatia was included in the list of women pardoned by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, the publication “7×7” reports.
According to mass media, it is about pensioner Natalya Filonova, who was sentenced to almost 3 years in prison last August in the case of an attack on policemen during an anti-mobilization action. It is noted that Filonova’s adopted son was sent to an orphanage, where he complained about being beaten.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin signed a decree to pardon 52 imprisoned women in honor of the March 8 celebration. Their names were not disclosed – it was only said that “first of all, women with minor children, pregnant women, and women whose relatives participate in a special military operation are pardoned.”
At the same time, according to “OVD-Info” and the human rights society “Memorial”, there are about two hundred Russian women in prison or under investigation who are persecuted for political reasons.
