A report on the “discrediting” of the army was drawn up against Lyudmila Petranovskaya

Child psychologist and publicist Lyudmila Petranovskaya was issued an administrative report on the article about the discrediting of the Russian army. This is reported by TASS with reference to law enforcement agencies.

Punishment under this article provides for a fine of 30 to 50 thousand rubles.

It is not known what specifically became the reason for the protocol. The interlocutor of the agency said that the police “are taking measures aimed at establishing the psychologist’s location.” It is not entirely clear whether Petranovskaya is in Russia. Previously, Petranovskaya wrote on her Facebook that she was in Georgia.

At the time of publication, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs did not comment on this. The Moscow courts, judging by the database of the Moscow City Court, did not receive any materials regarding Petranovskaya.

In July 2023, pro-Kremlin activist Vitaliy Borodin, known for denunciations of Russian artists and public figures, asked the prosecutor’s office to check Petranovskaya for “discrediting” the army and foreign financing. Borodin said that since 2014, Petranovskaya had supported Ukraine, said that “there is no threat to the Russian language”, and also condemned Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Borodin claimed that Petranovskaya is financed by the British Charity fund and the American Amway, which, in his opinion, makes it possible to declare her a “foreign agent”.

Petranovskaya herself, after reporting about the denunciation, wrote that “so far this is just an initiative of some comrade”, but admitted that “the process will go ahead”.

“I dreamed of reducing domestic violence – and now thousands of men with PTSD will return to Russian families [Посттравматическим стрессовым расстройством]. How many new orphans will appear? How many children have a broken childhood? It pains me to see how dozens of years of our work, aimed at making childhood in Russia a time of joyful development in warmth and care, have been thrown into the furnace. I had a choice: approve it or condemn it. And no “foreign funds” have anything to do with it. I understand that all this can seriously complicate my work and our communication with you. It will be a pity. But there are situations when you can say only one thing: I can’t do anything else,” she noted.

Lyudmila Petranovskaya is a psychologist, teacher, author of the bestsellers “What to do if…”, “A foster child came to class”, “If it’s difficult with a child”. In 2012, Ludmila Petranovskaya, together with her colleagues, created the Institute for the Development of Family Arrangements, where future adoptive parents and social workers are trained.
