The Federal Security Service reported on the detention of a 58-year-old resident of the Penza region on suspicion of treason in the form of espionage. According to the department, he passed on information about the defense enterprise to the representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The detainee allegedly collected information during 2023 and transmitted it via messenger to representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Baza Telegram channel reports that the suspect’s name is Igor N. He works as a security guard in the Horizont shopping center. On March 14, law enforcement officers searched his apartment and seized mobile phones. The Telegram channel, without specifying sources, reports that the detainee gave an incriminating statement.
