The 1st Eastern District Military Court fined a 60-year-old resident of Prokopyevsk (Kemerov region) Lenard Valeev 360,000 rubles in a case of incitement to extremism. This was reported by an anonymous Telegram channel associated with Kuzbass law enforcement agencies. In Valeev’s case file on the court’s website, it is noted that the last hearing was held on December 19.
The case against Valeev became known on April 8. According to the FSB investigation, he wrote several posts on social networks that allegedly called on Russians mobilized for the war in Ukraine to use weapons and military equipment “to overthrow the government.” These publications are not available now.
In April 2022, Valeev was arrested for three days under the protocol for organizing a mass event due to a post-announcement of an anti-war protest.
In October 2023, it became known that another criminal case was opened against Valeev for comments on social networks. He was accused of extremism for the fact that under the news in “VKontakte” about the criminal case due to the mutiny of the PMC “Wagner” he wrote: “Prygozhin disturbed the Russian hen house, in which everyone sits on a designated perch.” Valeev also called the residents of Russia “a cowardly population”, which, according to the investigation’s linguistic expertise, could “demean the human dignity of citizens.”
Now Lenard Valeev is in the register of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring.
