The police of the Rostov region are looking for a local resident, a former participant in the war in Ukraine. He is suspected of the brutal murder of two people. This was reported by Bloknot-Volgodonsk.

According to the investigation, 32-year-old Artem Bukotyn may have been involved in the death of two employees of the agricultural cooperative. On April 4, their bodies, as well as their drowned cars, were found in the Sal River. The murder was carried out with special cruelty: the corpses were tied by the hands and feet, one of the killed had his ears cut off and his throat cut.

Bukotin fought in Ukraine from September 2022 to March 2023 and was awarded the “For Courage” medal. In December of last year, he was already in the field of view of the regional mass media when he received a knife wound in a fight. During the fight, he expressed obscenities and declared that he “walked under bullets.”

According to the “Agency” publication, in 2014, Bukotyn was tried for car theft.

  • Returning from the war in Ukraine, Russian soldiers and mercenaries of paramilitary structures committed at least 20 crimes in which 27 people died. Such statistics are provided by “Agency”. Crimes became more frequent after the expiration of the first half-year contracts of soldiers and mercenaries. At the same time, the courts in Russia regularly reduce the punishment for “patriotism”, including participation in the war or the desire to participate in the war against Ukraine as extenuating circumstances.
