A Sakhalin student was reported because of a dispute with a teacher about the war

A student of the Sakhalin Maritime College was accused of discrediting the Russian army by denunciation. He argued with the teacher about the war in Ukraine. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Caution, news”.

According to the Telegram channel, sophomore Anatoly K. told the teacher that he does not want to live in a country that is involved in “murders of civilians in Ukraine” and “a war of aggression.” A 21-year-old student was reported to the police.

There, a protocol was drawn up on him on the article about the discrediting of the Russian army, the Telegram channel reports. In addition, it is said that the police seized the student’s notebook, in which they found an inscription in support of the armed forces of Ukraine.

• The administrative article on the discrediting of the Russian army appeared shortly after its invasion of Ukraine. Discreditation in Russia is considered, for example, to use the word “war” instead of “special military operation” in relation to the war in Ukraine.
