The governor of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, clarified that the drone was shot down over the territory of the Engels region. According to him, no one was hurt.
In the city of Engels in the Saratov Region, there is a military airfield where strategic bombers are based. In particular, Russian planes attacking targets in Ukraine take off from it. The airfield, which is about 700 kilometers from the nearest territory controlled by Ukraine, has already been attacked twice by drones. In the city of Oryol, approximately 170 kilometers from the border of Russia and Ukraine, two drones fell on the fuel and energy complex. Three people were injured. According to Telegram channels “112” and “Mesh”, drones attacked the oil depot “Orelnefteprodukt” and the building “Orelenergo”.
The governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, wrote in the Telegram channel that an aircraft-type drone was shot down over the Kurchatov district, where the Kursk NPP is located.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the neutralization of eight Ukrainian drones over the Kursk and Oryol regions. The Armed Forces of Ukraine did not comment on this information.
