In Voronezh, the court fined 60,000 rubles to a serviceman who beat up a member of the Russian Guard. When passing the sentence, the court took into account that the accused fought in Ukraine and was “characterized positively”.
The incident itself took place on September 13 last year in the Marton hotel in Voronezh. That day, the hotel administration released the police after complaining about a man in military uniform behaving aggressively. Arriving at the place, the Roshvardeytsy demanded that he stop violating public order. In response, the soldier “struck at least two times on the head” one of the employees, and also “publicly humiliated” him.
On the video footage of the conflict, published on the network, the “PMC Wagner” chevron is visible on the accused. In addition, it is heard that he threatens one of the Russian Guardsmen with murder and rape.
Commenting on the decision of the Voronezh court, State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Mikhail Matveev wrote in his Telegram channel that “in the past, Roshvardeys were more gentle and suffered from a plastic cup thrown in their direction”, for which the attacker was arrested. “And now, for two blows to the head and a promise to stick a baton in the anus – 60 thousand. Clear progress.”
