A court in Moscow arrested political scientist Abbas Galyamov in absentia in connection with the so-called fakes about the Russian army. The “Mediazon” publication drew attention to the information in the card on the website of the capital’s courts.

It is indicated that Galliamov is charged with the third part of the criminal article for “spreading knowingly false information about the Russian army, which led to serious consequences.” According to it, a political scientist faces from 10 to 15 years of imprisonment.

In March 2023, it became known that Gallyamov was declared wanted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. A criminal case regarding “fakes about the Russian army” was initiated against him, the reason for which was an interview with the Groshi YouTube channel on April 9, 2022. It is asserted that in it he talked about the destruction of settlements in Ukraine and the mass murder of the civilian population in Buch.

Abbas Gallyamov – candidate of political sciences. In 2008–2010, he was called the speechwriter of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. From 2010 to 2014, Gallyamov worked as Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Now he lives in Israel.

In February 2023, the Ministry of Justice included him in the list of “foreign agents”.
