The 15-year-old son of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, Adam received another award – the order “For service to the religion of Islam” 1st degree. This is Adam Kadyrov’s seventh award over the past month and a half.

The order was awarded by Chechen Mufti Salah Mezhiev in the presence of all muftis of the North Caucasian republics and “prominent religious figures from other countries,” Chechen Press Minister Akhmed Dudayev said. The award took place at a conference on spiritual and moral values.

The minister noted that 15-year-old Adam Kadyrov made a “significant personal contribution to the cause of strengthening Islam and protecting its values.” Dudayev did not specify what exactly the teenager’s merits consist of.

Over the past month and a half, Adam Kadyrov has received the title of Hero of Chechnya, the position of head of the security department of the head of the republic, the highest orders for services to Tatarstan, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, the Chechen order “Daymehkan Siy” (“Pride of the Nation”) and the religious order “For merits before the Ummah”.

The series of awards began after Nikita Zhuravel, who was arrested in the Koran burning case, was beaten on camera. A part of Russian society then wanted to bring the teenager to justice, but the police refused to open a case, since Adam had not yet reached the age of criminal responsibility. He also could not receive some of the awards listed above due to his age.

  • On May 21, Nikita Zhuravel, a 19-year-old resident of Volgograd, a native of Ukraine, who was suspected of burning the Koran, was detained. According to the investigation, he burned the Koran at the behest of the SBU, for which he was allegedly promised 10,000 rubles. According to the investigators, Zhuravel allegedly already gave an incriminating statement and stated that he had filmed military objects for the SBU. On the instructions of the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, the Zhuravel case was transferred to Chechnya.
  • Adam Kadyrov beat Nikita Zhuravel in the Grozny pre-trial detention center on August 15 – Zhuravel himself reported this. On September 25, a video recording of the beating was published in the Telegram channel of the head of Chechnya. Ramzan Kadyrov said he was proud of his son’s achievement. The Russian authorities did not react to the beating of the arrested person.
