After Russian shelling in Ukraine, two children and two women died

Two children and two civilians died in Ukraine on Friday as a result of Russian shelling. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his daily address to the nation. In the village of Druzhba, Donetsk region, a shell hit the yard where a 10-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were. The children received injuries incompatible with life. An elderly woman from the same family was injured and hospitalized.

Two women were killed in the shelling in the village of Honcharovskoe, Chernihiv region. A cultural center, a school, and residential buildings were damaged there. Debris analysis is underway.

In addition, Russian troops again shelled Odessa and the region. Since the beginning of massive shelling of the south of Ukraine on July 17, a total of more than 20 civilians, including two children, have suffered there.

• The Russian army is shelling Ukraine daily. Attacks on Odessa and its surroundings intensified after July 17, when Russia announced its withdrawal from the so-called grain deal, which provided a safe corridor for the export of Ukrainian grain and other agricultural products from Black Sea ports. Only in the port of Chernomorsk, according to Ukrainian mass media, about 60 thousand tons of grain ready for shipment were destroyed.
• The Ministry of Defense of Russia announced that from July 20, all vessels entering Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea will be considered as potential carriers of military cargo. Correspondingly, the flag countries of such courts will be considered “involved in the Ukrainian conflict” on the side of Kyiv, according to the statement of the department.
• The Russian side claims that it carries out only high-precision strikes on military targets in Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense does not comment on the death of civilians and the destruction of civilian infrastructure.
