The former teacher of the Omsk State Technical University (OmSTU) Dmitry Rudakov was fined 30 thousand rubles under the administrative article on discrediting the Russian army. This is reported by “Omsk Civil Society (OSO)”

Rudakov was accused of publishing on his VKontakte page a video recording with journalist Michael Naka about scenarios for the end of the war in Ukraine and a repost of the opinion of oppositionist Andrey Pivovarov about the introduction of the topic of war into the school curriculum.

“OGO” notes that Rudakov intends to appeal the court’s decision. At the hearing, the judge did not grant any of the petitions of the former university professor.

In February 2022, Rudakov was released for questioning by an FSB officer for his anti-war post. He was told that the teacher of the state university “does not have the right to publish” such posts, “because the students read it.”

Rudakov was dismissed from the Omsk State Technical University in May following a denunciation by students. They accused him of “political agitation” at lectures, “imposing a negative attitude towards the country and the city.” As the reason for the dismissal, the management of the university indicated “an immoral concession”. Later, Rudakov condemned the compensation for dismissal.

Rudakov was also fined 1,000 rubles for promoting Nazi symbols. The former teacher was accused of reposting a collage in which the German swastika is compared to the letter Z, a symbol of support for Russian aggression against Ukraine.
