After speaking about the “kicks” of Akhmat, the deputy said that his website had been hacked

On September 29, a text signed by the press service of the movement in support of the actions of the son of the head of Chechnya, Adam Kadyrov, was published on the website of the “Patriots of Russia” movement, which is headed by a member of the State Duma from the “Just Russia – For the Truth” party, Gennady Semigyn.

He beat Nikita Zhuravel, accused of burning the Koran, in the Grozny pre-trial detention center. The text published on behalf of the movement contained approval of the concession of Kadyrov’s underage son, who, as the text said, acted according to the “laws of wartime”. The text contained an appeal to take an example from Kadyrov’s son. “If every Russian soldier defended his ideals as uncompromisingly as the son of Ramzan Kadyrov, then perhaps the Akhmat battalion would not have had to kick the soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation onto the battlefield,” the text said.

Pro-war blogger Yury Kotenok was the first to draw attention to the publication, followed by other so-called patriotic bloggers. Most of them expressed indignation at the publication.

On Monday morning, the text disappeared from the Patriots of Russia website. Soon after that, Semigin wrote on the Telegram channel that “sabotage was committed” against him, and the website of his movement was “hacked”, and the attackers “posted a fake message on behalf of the press service of the movement with provocative assessments of the participation of a Russian soldier in a special military operations”. Semigyn stated that neither he nor the press service of the movement had anything to do with the publication. He did not write how he actually assesses Adam Kadyrov’s concession, and whether the “Akhmat” detachments are actually driving soldiers to the front.

At the same time, the “Patriotov of Russia” website is still working, all its materials are available. Semigyn claims that the site is unavailable.

• On August 16, the Commissioner for Human Rights in Chechnya said that Zhuravel told him about the beating of Ramzan Kadyrov’s 15-year-old son Adam. Representatives of law enforcement agencies did not react to this in any way and did not explain how an outsider could get into the pretrial detention center and beat the arrested person. Until recently, Ramzan Kadyrov also did not comment on the incident, but on September 25, the head of Chechnya published a video of the beating on the Internet, publicly approving the actions of his son. “He beat and did the right thing,” Kadyrov wrote about Adam’s concession, adding that he was proud of him.
• After the video appeared, neither state media nor official representatives of Russian law enforcement agencies commented on Adam Kadyrov’s actions. The press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, at a briefing for journalists, asked not to talk to him about the incident at all, and when asked to clarify why he would not comment, Peskov answered: “I don’t want to.” A number of human rights defenders have announced their intention to send applications to the Prosecutor’s Office and the Investigative Committee to investigate Kadyrov Jr.’s actions for violations of Russian legislation. There are currently no investigations into the beating of Nikita Zhuravel. On September 28, President Vladimir Putin met with Ramzan Kadyrov.
