On Thursday, the Primorsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined publicist Alexander Nevzorov 20,000 rubles under the administrative article on inciting hatred or enmity. The court found the facts of incitement of hatred in one of the programs “Little Nevzorovskie Shredy”, as well as in an interview on YouTube.

According to the joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg, in his broadcasts, Nevzorov humiliated the dignity of seven social groups at once: citizens of Russia, citizens of Belarus, Russian military personnel, representatives of the authorities, representatives of the performing arts, Cossacks, and members of religious cults.

In addition, as the press service put it, Nevzorov in the video “said bad things about the President of Russia, about the events in Crimea in 2014, and about the people of Russia,” as well as “bad things about the army, about the history of Russia, about the SVO, and about actors.”

At the end of July, the same Primorsky court already fined Nevzorov 40,000 rubles for not marking “foreign agent” in his telegram publication.

  • After the war in Ukraine, Alexander Nevzorov moved abroad. He takes a radically anti-Kremlin position and supports Ukraine.
  • Nevzorov was entered by the Ministry of Justice of Russia in the register of foreign agents. On May 6 last year, the court arrested him in absentia, and in February of this year he sentenced him in absentia to eight years in prison for publishing about the alleged crimes of the Russian military in the Ukrainian cities of Mariupol and Bucha.
