An employee of one of the drone production companies was detained in Moscow. Ego is suspected of leaking data to the Internet. A source in the law enforcement agencies informed the state agency RIA “Novosti” about this.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, the suspect had access to important information about the company. He allegedly uploaded the data to the Github portal — a platform for joint development and storage of IT project code.
The source claims that an employee of the company was detained on September 12. A criminal case has been initiated under the article on the illegal influence on the critical information infrastructure of Russia. She faces three to eight years in prison.
Telegram channel “Baza” reports that this is a 36-year-old employee of the “Kronstadt” company. It develops and produces equipment and software for unmanned aviation and the defense industry. According to Baza, the detainee is under a restraining order.
The Kronstadt company confirmed in a conversation with the Dozhd TV channel that their former network engineer had indeed distributed confidential information through Github. At the same time, the criminal case, as stated, was initiated under the article on the illegal receipt of information constituting a commercial secret.
- Kronstadt’s website states that the company designs, develops and manufactures high-tech unmanned systems, navigation and ground control systems, including the Orion reconnaissance drone.
