The Israeli newspaper The Jerusalem Post, which annually compiles a list of the world’s 50 most influential Jews, in 2023 mentioned PMC founder Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin in its ranking.
The Russian businessman received the last place outside the main list marked “Postscript”. In the biographical note, the newspaper writes that Prigozhin gained worldwide fame, first of all, thanks to the activities of PMC “Wagner”.
The newspaper claims that 62-year-old Prigozhin, who died in a plane crash near Tver on August 23, was Jewish on his father’s side and had the right to repatriate to Israel.
