An employee of an arms factory in Moscow, Dmytro Kycha, was arrested for two months on charges of treason.
The court does not reveal the details, explaining that the criminal case contains materials classified as “secret”. Kicha is now in the “Lefortovo” pre-trial detention center, TASS reports. Emu faces up to 20 years in prison. Last week, the State Duma adopted a law on life imprisonment for treason, but the President of Russia has not yet signed it.
Kicha is the deputy head of the testing laboratory of the “Promtekhnologiya” weapons plant, which produces hunting and sporting rifles under the ORSIS brand. The enterprise conducts research and experimental work on the creation and modernization of high-precision weapon systems. The plant cooperates with specialists of Russian research institutes and higher technical educational institutions.

In 2022, Russian courts handed down 11 sentences on this article, reports “OVD-Info”. Several of them are related to accusations of working for the Ukrainian special services.
