An ex-fighter of PMC “Wagner” was detained in Kurgan for the rape of a child

Andrey Frolov, a former mercenary of PMC “Wagner”, was detained in Kurgan. A criminal case was opened against 34-year-old Frolov for the rape of a nine-year-old girl, a second-grade student. ASTRA drew attention to this.

Andrey Frolov was repeatedly tried for rape, murder, kidnapping, insulting the police and drunk driving. In November 2022, serving his next term, he signed a contract with PMC “Wagner” and went to war in Ukraine. Six months later, in May 2023, he returned and received a presidential pardon.

• After the start of the war in Ukraine, in Russia they began to massively recruit prisoners from the colonies and send them to the war. Until the spring of 2023, they were employed in PMC “Wagner” by Yevgeny Prigozhin. After that, they began to conclude contracts with the “Storm Z” division, which reports directly to the Ministry of Defense.
• Since 2022, mercenaries of PMC “Wagner” have received amnesty and been released in exchange for participating in hostilities in Ukraine for six months. Vladimir Putin signed pardon decrees. In January, the Russian service of the BBC reported that Russian prisoners who went to fight against Ukraine will now receive a conditional release instead of a pardon from President Vladimir Putin, and will serve under the contract until the end of the war.
• Former prisoners, returning from the front, often commit new crimes. At the moment, it is already known about several dozen cases when the pardoned, returning from the war, again committed crimes, including murder and rape.
• In Novosibirsk, murderer and pedophile Nikita Semyanov, who received a pardon for participating in the war, goes to schools and talks about patriotism to children. In addition, former prisoners who went through the war in Ukraine began to be hired by the Russian Guard.
