Andrey Konstantinov, journalist, writer, founder of “Agency for Journalistic Investigations”, “Fontanka” and 47news, died in St. Petersburg at the age of 61. This was reported by his colleagues.
The journalist died on the morning of December 13 at home, he had been seriously ill for the last hour. The date and place of farewell to Konstantinov will be announced later.
In 1993, Konstantinov created and headed the criminal chronicle department of Smena newspaper, then he became Komsomolskaya Pravda’s own correspondent in the region.

Konstantinov is the author of the books “Criminal World of Russia”, “Lawyer”, “Journalist”, “Writer” and others; based on his novels, the TV series “Banditsky Petersburg” was filmed.
