During 2022-23, Astarta exported 780,000 tons of products in conditions of limited logistics capabilities. The company’s export geography includes more than 40 countries.

Despite Russia’s constant blocking of maritime trade routes and other export restrictions, we managed to supply foreign markets with more than 550,000 tons of grain and oil crops, including 174 thousand tons of wheat and 379 thousand tons of corn. Italy, Spain, Indonesia and Kenya became the main importers of wheat, and China, Portugal and Spain – maize.

EU countries became the main consumers of soybean processing products. Having exported 37,000 tons of soybean oil and 112,000 tons of soybean meal, the company currently ranks second and first among exporters of these products, respectively.

So far, the company has also delivered 50,000 tons of sugar to European markets, maintaining its leading position among Ukrainian exporters.

Due to the well-built reputation, transparency and sustainability of business, we were ready to integrate into European markets, both with our main products and niche ones.

By the way, niche products, in particular organic flax and mustard, became one of the discoveries of the last season. It is their presence in our product portfolio that allowed us to work with both large and regional players of the European Union.

Astarta plans to continue deepening trade relations with key European partners and develop a product line under its own brand, said Astarta’s commercial director, Vyacheslav Chuk.
