Boguslaev’s case was referred to the court: the ex-president of “Motor Sich” faces 15 years in prison

The Security Service of Ukraine together with the Prosecutor General’s Office completed the investigation and submitted to the court the indictment against the ex-president of JSC “Motor Sich” Vyacheslav Boguslaev and the director of the company’s foreign trade department Oleg Dzyuba. Both are suspected of collaborative activities.

The investigation established that from December 2017 to October 2022, the defendants organized the business activities of a separate unit of JSC “Motor Sich” – Snizhny Machine-Building Plant on the temporarily occupied territory in the city of Snizhne, Donetsk region.

“By their actions, they contributed to the terrorist organization “DNR”. They paid money to it under the guise of so-called “taxes” and “customs payments”. Through the mediation of controlled commercial structures registered in a foreign jurisdiction, JSC “Motor Sich” through foreign legal person supplied raw materials, and received spare parts for aircraft engines,” the OGP noted.

At the beginning of the Great War, Boguslaev and Dzyuba organized the supply of goods manufactured by JSC “Motor Sich” for the Military Industry of the Russian Federation, namely the Rostec Corporation, through the mediation of a foreign legal entity for more than UAH 72 million. Namely, spare parts for overhaul of aircraft engines.
Also, already after the beginning of the great war, the accused were preparing for delivery to the enemy 128 aircraft engines produced by JSC “Motor Sich” with a total cost of almost 2.5 billion UAH, and in May 2022 they actually supplied the enemy with 7 aircraft engines worth more than 136 million UAH.

In April 2022, Boguslaev interfered with the lawful activities of Ukrainian servicemen, namely, he deliberately blocked the delivery of a helicopter for the needs of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense

Both defendants were charged with collaborative activity, aiding the aggressor state, and providing assistance to a terrorist organization. Boguslaev is also accused of obstructing the activities of military formations during a special period.

The SBU added that as part of the criminal proceedings, all the property of the accused was seized for a total amount of more than 12 billion hryvnias.

Thus, the funds, real estate, corporate rights of both officials and their property, which they obtained through criminal means and issued to their relatives abroad, were seized.

On October 23, the Security Service of Ukraine reported the arrest of the president of JSC “Motor Sich” and the head of the Department of Foreign Economic Activities of this company: to suspicion has been declared in collaboration and assistance to the aggressor state. According to the investigation materials, these officials acted in collusion with representatives of the Russian corporation “Rostec” close to the Kremlin.

Investigative journalists of “Scheme” have published evidence that Vyacheslav Boguslaev has a Russian passport. Boguslaev’s lawyer confirmedthat he really has a Russian passport.

At the beginning of November, the state alienated “Motor Sich” and handed it over to the Ministry of Defense.

The Ukrainian strategic enterprise “Motor Sich” under the leadership of Vyacheslav Boguslaev, who is suspected of working for the Russian Federation and in collaborative activities, sold aircraft engines to sanctioned companies from Iran.
