Chechens coming on vacation from abroad will be trained in shooting

All Chechens who come home for vacation from other countries, including children, were offered to take shooting courses. The initiative was taken by Huseyn Jambetov, a former fighter of the International Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who moved to Chechnya and supported the head of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov. This is reported by Kavkaz.Realii.

The decision to train shooting is voluntary, Dzhambetov claims. “We will train all the young guys who came to Chechnya from abroad at the training ground. No one will film them on camera. They will be allowed to leave peacefully back to Europe or Turkey,” Dzhambetov said. (translation from Chechen website Kavkaz.Realii).

It is assumed that children will also be taught to shoot: under the age of 14 with the participation of their fathers, and over 18 – without their parents.

According to Dzhambetov, the idea of this initiative allegedly belongs to Ramzan Kadyrov.

This year, more than 300 imams and kadis were also offered military training on the basis of the so-called “special forces university” in Gudermes. One of the imams, on the condition of anonymity, told journalists that the representatives of the clergy themselves are not informed whether it is planned to use them directly in hostilities.

  • Officials, imams and commanders in Chechnya have an obligation regarding the number of people recruited for the war against Ukraine – in order to fulfill this “normative”, they illegally detain local residents in secret prisons and threaten their relatives with torture if they refuse.
  • From Chechnya, employees of law enforcement agencies, mobilized and so-called volunteers are sent to the war in Ukraine. At the same time, human rights activists have repeatedly stated that the draft has a coercive character – young people protected by security forces become soldiers, as well as, for example, relatives of Chechen oppositionists.
  • A former fighter of the Chechen Special Special Battalion (OBON) fighting on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces returned to Grozny and expressed his support for Ramzan Kadyrov. This was not hindered by the fact that in Russia a criminal case was opened against the defector in the case of terrorism, and he himself was declared wanted.
