Discussion “What about metallurgy?”
[ad_1]
The mining and metallurgical complex is among the basic sectors most affected by Russian aggression. The physical destruction of enterprises, the migration of personnel from the war zone, difficulties with the transportation of manufactured products – this is what the sector went through in 2022.
Due to the war, the sector lost 40% of its capacity and production fell by 70%. At the end of November, Ukraine exported 5.8 million tons of metal and metal products – this is about a third of the level of 2021 (17.8 million tons). Ukraine exported 23.2 million tons of iron ore at the end of November. This is approximately half of the volume of 2021 for the same period (40.7 million tons).
We will talk with the participants in more detail about the state of metallurgy, the prospects for recovery and where to get funds for the recovery of the sector January 12 at 12:00.
